Habib Koité featured at Fly

Con Murphy spotlighted Habib Koité in a nice one on one interview for Fly last week. It's nice to hear Habib's take on the "Jimi Hendrix" reference and on the perception that he is better known in the US than in the UK. Con has some nice things to say about the new album as well...
If there’s one album that might see Habib Koité break through in the UK, it’s the carefully-crafted Afriki,
which sees Habib taking on the more traditional approach that appeals
to British audiences, and the welcome addition of female-backing
harmonies to set off Koité’s smooth vocals.
