WOMEX honors Cumbancha

The World Music Expo, affectionately known as WOMEX, has announced the top ranking labels according to the World Music Charts Europe. WOMEX will be taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark from October 28th to November 3rd. Cumbancha was awarded second place in 2007 and first place in 2008. These rankings are determined by which album had the most spins by the radio stations that report to WMCE. For a second year in a row two of our titles have placed in the WMCE top 5 albums of the year. Chiwoniso's "Rebel Woman" was ranked third and Novalima's "Coba Coba" came in fifth. Congratulations to all of the artists who made the list.

WOMEX works in conjunction with the World Music Charts Europe and the selection for the WOMEX Top Label Award is made using the charts of 47 radio broadcasters from 24 countries.
